i shouldn't have to smile
pretend to care if i'm happy
i'm just a tiny acorn, one day i'll be a big oak tree
asleep inside my pod
so warm inside but so lonely
this is my home, among the dirt and leaves
i'll have an optimal view
i'll reach to burn my palms in the light
i will be towering soon, alright?
"green sapling, you'll be something"
i'll bloom over you
i shouldn't have to smile
pretend to care if im happy
i'm just a tiny acorn, one day i'll be a big oak tree
asleep inside my pod
so warm inside but so lonely
this is my home, among the dirt and leaves
"clone hybrid, your stone eyelids will move"
you'll move.
I really, really, really like this album for several reasons! First of all and the most important, the music is blissful Dream-Pop and part Surf/Indie Rock, which somehow melts together in a kettle of sound and comes out the other end sounding polished, sexy, and fun! Keep it up, I look forward to the next LP! Once again, all the tracks on here are superb, so it really is a dart throw when it asks me to pick my favorite song. Charlie Mayer
Definitely a must have for purveyors of Noise Pop.....this rocks hard.!
Guitar work is reminiscent of Mould's SUGAR confections.
Melodic, yet distorted and gazy all at the same time.
"pure burst" is Swervedriver like phased out trippy album closer.
Currently a Bandcamp (NYP) GEM.
Lazer Guided Melodies indeed. Agent K

I DON'T KNOW WHY (ha) I didn't give this album more of a chance when it dropped! Once I approached this album with a more open mind (not comparing it too much to their earlier work) I realized it was quite brilliant and charming in it's own right.
